PointsBet has a two-year of experience working in the mobile sports betting markets in the US, in the states of New Jersey, Iowa, and Indiana. It also runs a retail sportsbook in Iowa. It is planning to expand its US footprint with upcoming projects in Michigan, Illinois, and Colorado. Evolution Gaming is also expanding in the US. It launched the first live gaming studio in New Jersey about two years ago. A new studio is currently under works in Pennsylvania which will start offering games to users by the end of the year. There are also plans to open up operations in Michigan in 2021.

Michigan a hotspot for both companies

The state of Michigan is on priority for PointsBet as the company plans to launch its first iGaming product here. It has a 20-year partnership deal with the Lac Vieux Desert Public Enterprise and Finance Commission. The company noted,

“We are thrilled to partner with Evolution Gaming to launch Live Casino technology in US jurisdictions, where we plan to offer our proprietary online casino platform. The addition of Evolution Live Casino extends the appeal of PointsBet’s premium product in the rapidly growing US market.”

The company announced last week that it will be adding its iGaming skin to the Twin River Management Group as soon as the buyout deal for Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel and Casino is completed. It also plans to be live in New Jersey in the first half of 2021.
