The newly established and rebranded Horseshoe Las Vegas, along with the Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, will host the 54th WSOP.

This year’s World Series of Poker (WSOP) is anticipated to build on the success of last year’s tournament, in which over 197,000 players from over 100 countries competed for a total prize pool of $347,9 million, which broke all previous records.

This year’s WSOP will be the 54th edition of the world’s most successful poker tournament and will be conducted between May 30 and July 18 at the newly rebranded Horseshoe Las Vegas Casino and Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.

Ty Stewart, executive director and senior vice president of the World Series of Poker, explained that the series’ introduction on The Strip in 2022 will generate record-breaking WSOP and World Championship events at the Las Vegas Hotel & Casino and the Horseshoe Las Vegas. The latter opened its doors to the public on March 24 following a year of multimillion-dollar renovations.

If the Main Event has been on your priority list for a while, this is the year to “get to Vegas,” according to Stewart. Between July 3 and July 17, 2023, the $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em World Championship will be contested.

In addition to the newly constructed permanent hall of the fame poker room at Horseshoe Las Vegas, the highly anticipated event will feature the largest capacity in the series’ history. There will be no less than 608 tables spread out across the convention center’s 200,000 square feet for continuous action.

The WSOP 2023 will also host the first $300 buy-in tournament 

Other events to anticipate include the 600 Main Event Seats Guaranteed by GGPoker, which will offer 500 guaranteed Main Event seats on GGPoker.com via global qualifiers and an additional 100 seats on the ClubGG.net subscription site. The prize pool for the 600 total seats will exceed $6,000,000, which is more than double the prize pool for GGPoker’s official qualifiers in 2022. In March, the Internet satellites will be activated.

The Main Event Mania at Casinos Worldwide will inaugurate the first-ever Global Qualification Weekend on 20-21 May at live poker rooms on four continents. Just prior to the start of the series in Las Vegas, poker venues from around the globe will host satellite tournaments for the 2023 Main Event with Guaranteed Seats.

Each poker establishment will host step tournaments with a maximum buy-in of $140, culminating in a $1,175 mega with a guaranteed seat and all travel expenses paid to Las Vegas.

In 1951, the first Horseshoe Casino opened its doors. The first WSOP tournament was held there in 1970, nearly two decades later.Currently, the brand owned by Caesars Entertainment is responsible for administering and managing ten Horseshoe properties throughout North America.In February 2022, Caesars announced its intention to acquire Bally’s Las Vegas and convert it into a Horseshoe Casino.

The property’s general manager and senior vice president, Jason Gregorec, referred to the advent of Horseshoe on The Strip as “a momentous occasion for Caesars Entertainment, the Horseshoe brand, and the entire city.”Gregorec was also ecstatic about being able to welcome guests to the newly redesigned resort and its newest additions, which include internal and exterior upgrades and renovations, as well as new entertainment and dining options, and reintroduce it to Las Vegas.
