Hot Blox employs unique 3×3 gameplay mechanics, using nine distinct blocks or mini slots. Each mini slot/blox has two reels and two rows, which give the player four symbol positions per box.

Players will only trigger the Symbol Fusion feature if the same symbols appear on all four reels. The four similar symbols fuse to form a 2×2 mega symbol in any given box. In order to form a winning combination, it requires at least three Symbol Fusions anywhere on the grid.

Multiplier Meter and Free Spins Feature

The game also has a multiplier meter feature, which gets charged every non-winning spin. The size of the multiplier depends on how many fully charged box that is part of a winning combination. The size of the multiplier also increases each time the charge meter in a box gets filled. However, it will take 18 consecutive non-winning spins to fully charge a blox. Another catch is that the meter in winning boxes will reset back if those particular boxes aren’t fully charged.

Here’s how the multiplier meter works:

1 charged box – gives you a 2x multiplier boost

2 charged boxes – gives you a 3x multiplier boost

3 charged boxes – gives you a 5x multiplier boost

4 charged boxes – gives you a 7x multiplier boost

5 charged boxes – gives you a 10x multiplier boost

6 charged boxes – gives you a 20x multiplier boost

7 charged boxes – gives you a 30x multiplier boost

8 charged boxes – gives you a 50x multiplier boost

9 charged boxes – gives you a 100x multiplier boost

For 20 consecutive turns, if any of the nine boxes ended up not part of a winning combo, it will result in a fully charged box for four consecutive spins. This can happen to multiple boxes simultaneously or randomly to any box in the grid as long as it is not part of a winning combo for 15 consecutive spins. Changing the bet level however will reset all of the features, including the charge.

A player can get 10 Free Spins in the bonus round if at least three 2×2 Symbol Fusions of a Diamond scatter symbol appear on the view. Free spins cannot be re-triggered. Nevertheless, the chance of winning big is higher since some of the boxes are already fully charged at the start of the round.
