BetRivers to enter West Virginia online casino market in early 2021

West Virginia’s online casino space will soon have another player with the much-awaited debut of BetRivers in early 2021.

Backed by Rush Street Interactive in collaboration with Century Casinos, BetRivers acquired a mobile license to operate from the Mountaineer Casino.

RSI’s online casino and sportsbook has already begun operation in regulated markets such as Pennsylvania and New Jersey. For Mountaineer Casino, BetRivers will be their first online casino platform.

A New Powerplayer in West Virginia Online Casino

The recent partnership between Rush Street Interactive and Century Casino gives credence and required machinery to BetRivers ahead of its launching.

Although it is still subject to licensing and regulatory approval by West Virginia lottery, the online casino looks poised for a grand launching in April of 2021.

BetRivers promises to offer their soon-to-be customers abroad range of online casino games such as slots and table games. Also, the upcoming online casino will also grant its members a multi-tiered loyalty program packed with exciting rewards and freebies.

West Virginia has two online casino brands operating since it went live five months ago. Industry observers expect BetRivers’ arrival to stimulate the online casino market even more.

Preparation for Launching

West Virginians who are already of legal age can already try some of RSI’s top-rated games without shelling out a single dime. RSI has already created a free-to-play website, giving residents the opportunity to create an account and test their games ahead of the real money online casino launching.

Mountaineer Casino, on the other hand, is set to compete with retail competitors, the Hollywood Casino and The Greenbrier, in offering online casinos. Also, the retail casino recently launched its sports betting business following a deal with sportsbook giant William Hill.

West Virginia online casino has recorded big numbers since it has gone live earlier this year. BetMGM Casino and DraftKings Casino have accepted a combined amount of over $72 million in betting handle this November. The numbers will continue to increase as more online casino outfits join the fray.

BetRivers isn’t the only online casino brand set to enter Mountain State’s online casino market. The Golden Nugget Casino will also soon release an online casino and sports betting segment in West Virginia next year after striking a partnership with the Greenbrier.
