Leading gaming firm Playtech strengthened its presence in the US recently with a brand-new offer of industry-leading Playtech slot games by IGT. The offering is a crucial step to developing the US and North America as crucial markets for the firm.

A mutually-beneficial agreement

Playtech is working on building a stronger presence in the US by adding top-of-the-line online slot games produced by IGT. The firm is planning to deploy its first fleet of gaming solutions to strengthen its broader iGaming experience for clients based in the US. The new offering will feature a wide variety of games included in the patent pipeline of IGT.

Playtech launched in New Jersey with bet365 in and later with BetMGM. A new partnership with IGT, which is one of the leaders in the US iGaming market will help the company strengthen its presence on the US soil.

IGT will also get more exposure for its IP portfolio. The firm’s chief operating officer, Nich Khin noted in a statement that they are glad to be able to partner with Playtech and provide it better “access to the largest game feature patent portfolio in the US… “access to the largest game feature patent portfolio in the US.” IGT has recently started expanding in Africa. It forged a partnership with South Africa-based Carousel Casino, providing it a new management system that connects to 400 casino machines.

Playtech finishes the year on a high

Playtech is ending 2020 on a positive note. The company recently partnered with Norsk Tipping, the Norway-based gaming operator. The company faced tough times during the first half of 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic when its revenue fell by 23% year-on-year.

Shimon Akad, the chief operating officer at Playtech said that the IGT agreement is an important step in the growth of the company in the US and it will help it go on a successful path. He added that the company is looking forward to offering its market-leading technology and software in the US market.
