Bally’s Corporations becomes official betting partner of the NBA Lou De Aguila 7. March 2021 | UPDATED ON: 7. March 2021 Post Views: 101 The National Basketball Association has inked a multi-year agreement with the Bally’s Corporation, making the operator its official betting partner. NBA-Bally’s Corporation Deal Bally’s Corporation announced the landmark deal in a press release issued on Friday. Under the terms of the contract, the real money casino operator will gain access to NBA’s official league data. It also includes the rights to use official NBA marks and logos across the company’s expanding suite of online sports betting products. The collaboration with the NBA marks the second time Bally’s Corporation entered into strategic sports betting partnership with a professional sports league. Last month, the group signed a similar deal with the National Hockey League. Bouncing Back from COVID-19 Pandemic The operator views their tie-up with two of the four major North American sports leagues as key factors to increasing their visibility in other regulated markets. The previous year hampered the operations of most brick-and-mortar casinos largely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Bally’s was not spared of its adverse effect as the company reported fourth-quarter revenue of $118m, which is a 9.4 percent drop year-on-year from $130.4m. However, the incremental revenues generated by Bally’s acquisition of Atlantic City and Eldorado Resort Casino Shreveport, along with a $50.9m tax benefit, cushioned the impact of last year’s crisis. The company executives are optimistic Bally’s will bounce back strong this year, thanks to the rebounding gaming industry spurred by the legalization of online casinos and sportsbooks in several US states. Bally’s executive on the deal George Papanier, president and chief executive officer of Bally’s Corporation, said: “Partnering with the NBA is an exceptional opportunity for Bally’s, adding to our ongoing momentum with professional sports leagues.” “Together with the NBA, we will unlock significant opportunities to provide a greater population of NBA fans with new, creative, and engaging sports betting products and services.” About Lou De Aguila Lou Aguila is a news and feature writer for Golden Casino News.
