As part of its participation in the Netherlands ‘ pilot events program, Holland Casino will be allowing a selected few to enter the premises of its properties, provided the management of each casino will follow the safety protocols to the tiniest detail.

Holland Casino will participate in a series of Government sanctioned tests to determine if casinos are now ready to accommodate guests under the present condition.

Moreover, the Government also wants to know if by no means certain whether testing is the solution to slowly lifting the restrictions at casinos and if it is necessary to conduct more testing in the future.

The Dutch Government has mandated a series of extended closure orders to curb the rate of COVID-19 infections. The most recent Government-mandated closure happened in March, and it will extend up to and including Tuesday, April 20.

On April 24, Holland Casino will be opening the doors of its casino properties in Enschede, Venlo, and Breda to a selected number of guests. Meanwhile, the operator’s casinos in Amsterdam West, Utrecht, and Leeuwarden will be welcoming a small group of guests again the following day.

Safety Protocols

During the pilot test, every guest of Holland Casino are required to under a rapid test in advance at a unique facility inside the Open Netherlands Foundation.,

A guest may only enter into one of these properties with a reservation and a negative test certificate. The testing will be free of charge, though it won’t take place at the particular casino.

All guests should observe the basic safety protocols, requiring them to follow the 1.5-meter distancing rule with the company having the rights to implement its protocols for safe and responsible visits., Curfews, currently applicable between 22.00 and 04.30, are taken into account for as long as they apply.

The company assures that it will work closely with municipalities and do everything in its power to carry out the pilots safely and responsibly.

“We will receive further details and elaboration from the Government later this week. As soon as we have the operational plan of action ready, we will inform everyone again.”

The Government will announce on April 13 whether or not to extend the mandated closure of establishment beyond April 20.

If the number shows a positive trend, earlier adjustments to one or more measures may be possible. On the other hand, if the COVID-19 situation turns for the worse, a stricter measure may be implemented.
