The company made an announcement on Monday that it will open a new office in Las Vegas. This move will mean that more than one thousand employees will move to the state of Nevada. DraftKings is one of the biggest sports betting companies in the country. The company has increased its presence in Las Vegas in spite of not operating a sportsbook in the state. Even though the announcement on Monday does not make the sportsbook in Las Vegas and Nevada a reality, the move does signify the commitment of the company to the city and the state.

DraftKings and commitment to the state of Nevada

As more jurisdictions in the United States continue to legalize sports betting, the market share of the company continues to plummet. However, the daily fantasy sports operator that has now turned into a sports betting giant has maintained its commitment to the city of Las Vegas as well as the state of Nevada. Co-founder and President of DraftKings in North America, Matt Kalish made a statement on Monday.

He has stated that the new office space and further expansion in Las Vegas is a good example of the commitment of the organization’s investment in its employees as well as the future of the organization. He also stressed that the new move affirmed the commitment of the company to the local community. He mentioned that the goal of the company is to create a world-class environment that will help in innovation within the organization.

Office space in Las Vegas

The office space in Las Vegas will be a spacious 90,000 square feet. The office will be located in almost one entire building at UnCommons that is a mixed-used workspace that is located in South West Las Vegas. This will be the second-largest office of the company. The office at Boston is the largest office in the country. Since January 2020, when the company has increased its presence in Las Vegas by 400%.  DraftKings is also the sponsor of UNLV’s Center for Gaming Innovation. Gaming Innovation Studio has also been started at the UNLV by the company.
