Pennsylvania Sports Betting: PointsBet enters state via PNG team-up

PointsBet has continued to create headlines with its US development strategy, announcing its debut into Pennsylvania sports betting market alongside Penn National Gaming.

PointsBet now in Pennsylvania

The exclusive partnership and subsequent joint application for licensure of its wholly-owned subsidiary PointsBet Pennsylvania resulted in the region’s Gaming Control Board awarding the company sports wagering and interactive gaming operator licenses to offer online sports betting and online casino products.

As the official, exclusive sports betting partner of NBC Sports, PointsBet plans to leverage the media company’s television and digital assets to promote its brand in Pennsylvania, the home state of Comcast Corporation.

As part of the agreement, NBC Sports provides PointsBet with year-round, multiplatform media and marketing opportunities across its portfolio of events, including exclusive multiplatform gameday integrations across NBC Sports Philadelphia, the regional broadcast home of the Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia 76ers, and Philadelphia Flyers.\

“With Pennsylvania ranking among the nation’s top five sports betting states, PointsBet is overjoyed to be able to quickly establish a presence in this lucrative market, and we are grateful for the support we’ve received from the state of Pennsylvania and the wonderful people at the Gaming Control Board.

“Our ultimate goal is to give the best-in-class sports betting and online casino experience to customers in Pennsylvania. With NBC Philadelphia being a critical asset in the NBC Sports portfolio, it will be critical for us to attract new customers and establish brand recognition in this new area,” noted Kyle Christensen, chief marketing officer of PointsBet USA.
