Dutch Market: KSA releases licenses for JVH’s online casinos

The Dutch Gaming Authority, Kansspelautoriteit, has granted more licenses for the operation of its online casinos in the Netherlands, cementing JVH gaming and entertainment’s position in the digital ecosystem.

JOI Casino

Joi Gaming in Dutch market

The business obtained a permit for its Joi Gaming subsidiary in November 2021 for its online casino jacks.nl and has since received two further approvals for Joi I and Joi II.

The KSA notes that while these companies are affiliated with Joi Gaming, it is not yet known which domain names will be operational in the kingdom. JVH, whose recent permits are the company’s 14th and 15th, operates 85 physical real-money casinos throughout the country under the Jack’s Casino, Flamingo Casino, and Flash Casino brands. According to casinonieuws.nl, the latter of these will occupy one of the group’s newest licenses, as indicated by Eric Olders, CEO of JVH gaming and entertainment.

Approval of 10 Licenses

On October 1, 2021, the KSA approved an initial ten licenses, including those for the Toto Online brand of Nederlandse Loterij, the Dutch arcade firm FPO Netherlands, Holland Casino, and NSUS Malta, which owns GGPoker. Additionally, Estonia’s Play North, operator of the Rocket Casino and Pikakasino brands, bingo provider Tombola, bet365; Belgian brand Bingoal, Italy’s Betent, and LiveScore Malta are entrants. Casino de Spa became the 12th licensed entrant to the Netherlands’ digital realm earlier this month, with its 777.be online casino and sports betting portal serving as the entry point. Another licensee, ZEbetting & Gaming Netherlands, has also been approved by the KSA. The company, part of the Groupe ZEturf France, operates under the brand name Runnerz in the country.
