Expanding US Presence 

The debut of Inspired Entertainment’s online gaming content in Connecticut marked the third US state to now offer titles from the B2B provider of content, systems, and solutions’ extensive gaming catalog. Connecticut became the third US gaming state to include Inspired’s content, following New Jersey and Michigan, respectively, when the provider released its titles in July and May of last year. They have helped us expand our position in New Jersey and Michigan, where we now account for 70% of operators in each state, and we want to do the same in Connecticut. Online Gaming is Increasing in Popularity

Connecticut began regulating internet gambling in October of last year, becoming the sixth US jurisdiction to do so. Online gambling became a reality following the US Department of the Interior’s approval of Governor Ned Lamont’s modified state compacts with the Mashantucket Pequot and Mohegan tribes.

The Constitution State reported $312.5 million in online casino wagers and $53.5 million in sports wagering in its first month of operation, October, producing $1.7 million in state taxes, while the two operators collected $10 million in online casino revenue. Mohegan Digital earned $3 million in online casino gaming revenue last month, after generating $123 million in wagers, paying out $119 million in wins, and giving away $1 million in promotions.

Similarly, the Mashantucket Pequots, the tribe that operates Foxwoods Resort Casino, earned $4.8 million in profit from wagers totaling $189.5 million, winnings totaling $183.5 million, and promotions totaling $1.2 million. Revenue from online casinos increased to around $19 million in January, the state’s third full month of operation, demonstrating that the state is still in its infancy and has a long way to go before realizing its full potential.

Inspired Entertainment announced a deal with Rush Street Interactive in December to incorporate its gaming content into the operator’s platform in New Jersey, Michigan, and West Virginia, as well as other authorized areas where the relationship will take effect.
