Corporate Notes

When they wanted a tool that properly encompassed all of the critical areas of player development, they looked no further than QCI. QCI provides complete visibility into hosts’ efforts to grow their businesses. The most impressive aspect, however, was the technical support and ease of deployment of the platform tailored to the market, according to Tim Schipper, Director of Player Development at Hard Rock Casino Rockford. Additionally, Schipper noted that QCI Host is a “strategically important, long-term solution for player development departments in the gaming industry, created by gaming industry professionals for gaming industry executives.

Dr. Ralph Thomas, CEO of QCI, noted, “this deployment demonstrates how critical it is to have the right tooling in place even during the very early stages of a new property.” The Rockford team has been able to establish real-time connections with their high-value guests by utilizing the QCI Host Platform. With over 1,000 customers of the QCI Host system across a range of property sizes, we are proud of how our proven platform has adapted to the Hard Rock Casino Rockford’s dynamic needs.

Hard Rock Casino Project Milestone

Hard Rock opened a temporary casino in Rockford in November 2021, and its permanent facility received a 4-0 Illinois Gaming Board decision this month. According to the gaming board, Hard Rock Casino Rockford must first submit mandatory disclosures, seek and IGB permission to begin construction or gaming at the proposed facility. The operator has two years to complete the project. The $310 million casino project will create 1,200 permanent jobs and another 1,000 during construction and a minimum yearly gaming payout of $7 million to the City of Rockford. On June 28, 2019, Governor JB Pritzker signed into law a gaming expansion bill permitting a casino to be developed in six Illinois communities, including Rockford.
