Grover Gaming secures Ohio approvals

Grover announced earlier this month that it had reached an agreement to acquire the assets of electronic instant bingo gaming manufacturer NexLevel Gaming for an undisclosed sum.

Following the transaction, the Greenville, North Carolina-based group stated that it had already applied to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office for separate distributor approvals, which had previously been denied.

The Ohio Attorney General’s Office’s goal is to license electronic instant bingo device manufacturers and distributors, as well as charities, fraternal organizations, and other nonprofit organizations, in order for the devices to be used in Ohio.

Press Release Notes

Grover’s Compliance and Licensing Specialist, Dorwin “DL” Howard, indicated that the company was previously licensed as a Bingo Supply Manufacturer in Ohio, but that they had also applied for a separate Distributor license as well as the Electronic Instant Bingo endorsement for each of those licenses. They anticipate getting their Distributor License and endorsement for Electronic Instant Bingo within the next few days. Both will become effective on Friday.

Tyler LeMoine, Electronic Pull-Tab Product Manager for Grover, stated that while it is wonderful to have that endorsement, the most exciting news for him is that our Electronic Instant Bingo system for Ohio, as well as our initial 17 games, have received full lab certification from Gaming Laboratories International (GLI). The permitted games are some of the best in the market, and they fully expect them to be at the top of the heap when it comes to Ohio gambling regulations. As a starting point, they will include Piggy’s Big Break as well as the following games: Great American Buffalo, Blue Ridge Buck Hunter, Red Hot Buffalo, King Kong, and a dozen more of the best-performing titles. Other new custom-designed games will be added on a regular basis by the corporation, allowing them to continue their charitable work for the benefit of Ohio’s charitable organizations.
