SofaScore, a Croatian sports data firm, has appointed Croatian soccer star and Real Madrid playmaker Luka Modri as its brand ambassador. SofaScore is seeking to increase its visibility in the global sports betting landscape ahead of the World Cup this year. Modri was part of the historic Croatian World Cup squad that finished second.

Expansion of SofaScore Profile

On Sunday, Modri and SofaScore founders Zlatko Hrka and Ivan Beli met with Modri and negotiated an agreement. The arrangement is aimed at increasing SofaScore’s global appeal among soccer fans. SofaScore released a statement commemorating the relationship with Modri, highlighting the agreement’s timeliness immediately before the Qatar World Cup, which may be the Croatian national’s final international appearance.

Modri, a four-time Champions League and Ballon d’Or winner, was part of the Croatian national team that placed second at the 2018 World Cup, and SofaScore hopes to capitalize on its shared nationality with the popular player.
