OKTO, a payments provider and direct competitor of Paypal and Paysafecard, announced an arrangement with London Hippodrome Casino that would integrate the OKTO.WALLET solution to the real-money casino’s mobile app for members and make it the first casino in the UK to become cashless.

Expanding Hippodrome and Increasing OKTO’s Presence

After acquiring an extra 2,400 square feet of space, Hippodrome Casino announced last month that it will extend its food and dining offerings in the summer by adding three new facilities.

The additional dining choices will include CrêpeAffaire, an all-day restaurant providing French crêpes and traditional coffee and desserts, Chop Chop by Four Seasons, a modern Chinese restaurant with a focus on Hong Kong-style cuisine, and a cocktail lounge with a subterranean theme.

The London landmark casino, which also deployed Sensor AI technology offered by SenSen Networks, is the newest addition to OKTO’s portfolio of cashless casino partners. Codere, a Spanish gaming company, struck a contract with OKTO in February to embrace the provider’s mobile-first payment solution and enable its clients to become cashless.
