X1 Diversifies Its Assets

After the $350,000 transaction is finalized, X1 will own all issued and outstanding membership interests in Tyrus. The agreed-upon acquisition price consists of $150,000 in cash and 555,555 freshly issued X1 shares valued at $0.45 per share. A bonus of $100,000 in cash or stock was also arranged, contingent upon Tyrus managing $1.75 million in sales during its first fiscal year. X1 Esports, located in Vancouver, mainly operates via their esports brand RixGG.

It arranges video game competitions, handles merchandise, and promotes esports. As the corporation enters the domain of digital content providers, the most recent purchase will assist in diversifying its holdings. Tyrus focuses on gaming and lifestyle content and provides paid partnerships, access to live events, and other chances to its artists.

In addition to video editing, the firm provides platform management and social media management. It has a YouTube, TikTok, and Twitch presence. X1 Esports is also in the process of purchasing Shift RLE, an online publication that focuses exclusively on the video game “Rocket League.” X1 will be active in competitive gaming, content development, and a media brand as a result of these two acquisitions. The firm will then have a portfolio that is diversified and synergistic, making it more adaptable to industry problems.

The Agreement Will Benefit Both Firms

Mark Elfenbein, the chief executive officer of X1, indicated that the purchase will provide X1 access to high-profile video game content developers and solidify the company’s position in the advertising sales industry. He was optimistic about the acquisition and praised Tyrus’ potential for success.

Amanda Solomon, CEO of Tyrus, called attention to the expanded prospects resulting from the new relationship. She mentioned the eagerness of the Tyrus team to join X1 and use the synergies between the two businesses to achieve future success. Solomon drew attention to Tyrus’s status as an industry disruptor whose portfolio of content producers aimed to link global companies with Gen Z consumers.

The diversification of X1 is typical of esports firms. Although many have attempted to handle esports as a standalone enterprise, the majority of experts now think that this is not a feasible long-term plan. They feel that the ideal application for the business is client acquisition for other industries, and that a varied portfolio is a key success element.
