The pool at the hotel & real-money casino property namely Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey is now open for business.

Newly Renovated Pool Reopened

This comes after work started in March on a $4 million renovation of the pool, which is situated on the third level of the Ocean Tower at Resorts. After almost five months, it is now accessible to visitors, who were greeted back with a group cannon ball and a ceremony when a ribbon was cut to signify the opening. 

The new pool, which has a capacity of 45,000 gallons, is equipped with a cover that can be retracted, enabling year-round usage of the area. This is the only structure of its sort in all of Atlantic City, and it is built out of 248 individual panels of glass.

The actual dimensions of the swimming pool are fifty feet in length and twenty-six feet in width. The “deep end” of the pool has a depth of five feet and nine inches, while the “shallow end” has a depth of two feet and nine inches. 

In order to further prevent the growth of germs, the water has been subjected to salt treatment, and a UV system has also been installed. In addition to the swimming pool, additional new amenities include an expanded fitness center as well as a bar with full service and seating for a total of 12 guests. There are now over one hundred more loungers available for use within the pool area as well as outside on the sun deck.

A New Collective Bargaining Deal has Been Negotiated 

According to the operator, local trade unions were engaged to complete the refurbishment. The establishment is open from 9:00 in the morning until 8:00 in the evening, however after 2:00 in the afternoon, only adults are permitted inside. A new collective bargaining deal was negotiated earlier this week between Resorts and Unite Here Local 54, the labor union that represents casino employees in Atlantic City. According to Resorts, “the pool will allow for year-round swimming, and the indoor/outdoor pool deck will be open year-round for unique events, such as cocktail parties and wedding celebrations.
