According to reports, the developer enters the Pennsylvania market at a tumultuous period. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) recently disclosed the state’s gaming income for July, revealing that retail slot machine revenue declined by 4% year-over-year to $213.9 million. 

The income from retail table games remained constant, decreasing by less than one percent to $86.6 million. The revenue generated by video game terminals fell by 3.7% to $3,6 million.

Despite the overall poor results, certain prospective customers of GCT in the casino industry reported significant revenue growth. The annual earnings of Hollywood Casino Morgantown increased dramatically from $570,000 to $6.6 million. 

The revenue of the Valley Forge Casino Resort increased by 17% compared to July 2021, reaching $41.4 million. Wind Creek Bethlehem, Hollywood Casino at the Meadows, and Hollywood Casino at Penn National all reported moderate increases, while Harrah’s Philadelphia’s revenue grew by less than one percent to $18.4 million. Parx Casino followed the other of the state’s businesses in posting a loss for the month, with earnings falling by roughly 12% to $56.4 million.
