HeadsUp Entertainment

Transaction Complete, Partnership Formal

HeadsUp Entertainment, a Canadian operator and media company, issued a press release on PR Newswire announcing the official launch of its operational partnership with Emirates Draw.

According to the statement, the deal was finalized on August 26, 2022, and its newly formed Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates-based team was in charge (UAE). A video shareholders’ presentation was uploaded to the company’s Twitter account, outlining the significance of the transaction. However, the company stated in its press release that the “enhanced platform” will enable it to “target significant global markets.”

The HeadsUp (HDUP) now operates the Emirates Draw website, which features multiple lotteries and games as well as active draws, to name a few of the website’s products.

These products will complement HeadsUp’s expanding portfolio of iGaming, e-sports, and sports betting options. India and South Africa are already a focus of the company’s growth strategy, and the new operational partnership agreement with Emirates Draw will enable the company to “expand the global footprint of this brand.”

HeadsUp on the Rise

Even though the company’s stock fell as much as 10% after the announcement, HeadsUp has been quite active throughout the entire year, with the past few months being especially newsworthy.

Although financial terms were not initially disclosed in full, additional details were provided on the company’s Twitter page regarding the acquisition of Spinola, which granted the company licenses to operate in several regulated markets, including Brazil, Peru, Colombia, and other Latin American markets, as well as positions in Europe.

Six “New White Label clients” are in the “launch phase” for Brazil, Peru, and India, and “national lotteries” are launching in Nigeria and Cameroon, according to the company’s additional corporate disclosures posted on its Twitter account. In addition, “three additional markets are scheduled to launch on the same brand” during the first half of 2023.

In July, the acquisition of LotteryHub was finalized, allowing the platform serving more than four million Americans to expand. LotteryHub also has agreements with businesses in Brazil, Eastern Europe, Mexico, and Africa, paving the way for additional content.

HeadsUp announced earlier in the year that it would be partnering with Enteractive Media, a broadcasting and event company, as part of its launch strategy for creating revenue streams in all six US states where it had been granted permission to operate iGaming and sports betting products. Obviously, this includes operations outside the United States, specifically in Ontario.

May also brought similar news for HeadsUp with the announcement of a partnership with MetaVerse Vision Group FZE LLC. This is not intended to be an exhaustive list. The UAE-based company owns 51% of Heads
