American Gaming Association to Assist Brands in Communicating

In the United States, where the majority of the companies business is conducted, the American Gaming Association (AGA) has urged companies and brands to participate more actively in raising awareness of the issue and educating consumers about the dangers of a seemingly harmless hobby.

MGM Resorts and BetMGM are members of AGA’s “Have A Game Plan” and “Bet Responsibly” initiatives, which are tailored to the needs of casual and experienced gamblers, and they will continue to collaborate with AGA during RGEM.

AGA does not rule out the possibility of anyone falling into a pattern of compulsive or irresponsible gambling, which is why ongoing efforts continue to assist at-risk consumers and educate the general public to prevent the problem from occurring.

The companies will utilize all available channels of communication to ensure their voices regarding responsible and secure gambling are heard.

MGM Resorts Devotes Considerable Efforts to Staff Training

This will include print materials and social media campaigns emphasizing the companies’ commitment to a variety of safe gambling precautions and measures.

One of these is the Canadian-based GameSense responsible gambling program created by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation. Richard Taylor, responsible gaming program manager at BetMGM, welcomed the opportunity to intensify the company’s efforts to provide superior customer service with a clear emphasis on responsible gaming.

The director of responsible gaming at MGM Resorts, Garret Farnes, stated that the company has remained at the forefront of responsible gambling practices by devoting significant resources to training its employees.

MGM Resorts trained 62,000 employees through GameSense in 2021 alone, making it one of the most well-prepared entities committed to maintaining a high level of customer protection and service.
