Kansas is enthusiastic about the possibility of establishing its own sports betting sector. In actuality, there is no possibility; there is just certainty. 

Laura Kelly, the governor of Kansas, stated on Friday that the state would begin a soft launch this Thursday, followed by mobile sports betting on September 8 or the following Thursday.

Retail and Mobile Sports Betting to Be Legalized in Kansas

The State Lottery has already certified the organizations that have secured licenses for sports betting and have been given permission to operate. According to Senate Bill 84, each state-run casino will provide physical sportsbooks and up to three mobile sports betting applications. Currently, there are four casinos in the State of Kansas.

The Hollywood Casino in Kansas City partnered with Barstool Sports to provide in-person and mobile sports betting. Meanwhile, the Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane will collaborate closely with FanDuel to provide retail and interactive wagering. 

Additionally, Boot Hill Casino and Resort in Dodge City has partnered with DraftKings and is seeking regulatory permission to establish DraftKings subsidiary Golden Nugget Online Gaming (GNOG).
