Station Casinos said on Tuesday that a new Wildfire Casino would open in downtown Las Vegas’ Fremont neighborhood in early February.

The new casino will showcase abundant gaming opportunities, an STN Sportsbook, and the eateries IHOP and Tacos El Pastor. Tuesday, workers were seen placing outside signs on the structure.

Providing a Unique and Upgraded Experience that Players will Love

As reported by FOX5, Joel Hampe, General Manager and Vice President of Wildfire Gaming, claimed that the Wildfire, like other Wildfire casinos, will be a terrific addition to the community and that everyone who enters the casino will love its welcoming atmosphere. 

Hampe stated that the hotel would provide visitors with “\a unique and upgraded experience that they will adore.

In addition to Red Rock Resort and other hotel casinos, Station Casinos manages seven Wildfire-branded locations. The Wildfire, located on Rancho Drive close to Lake Mead Boulevard, has 150 slot machines, a restaurant, and a sportsbook.

Creating a New, Elevated Experience 

The Fremont site will get “modern creature comforts,” including 200 slot machines, bar-top and electronic table games, 16 televisions around the bar, and more.

As reported by Las Vegas Review-Journal, Hampe stated that the brand’s look and feel had been stagnant for a while, and they wanted to give guests a new, elevated experience. He also noted that the brand recognition gained from the food partners and the Station Casinos Boarding Pass loyalty program contributed to this. 

These are just some of the alterations prompted by Station Casinos in the east Las Vegas area. In 2004, the business purchased the old Castaways location and finally destroyed the motel. It sold a portion of the site to developers, who constructed a 344-unit apartment complex, a micro storage facility, and a structure for the Southern Nevada Health District to inhabit.

Good Moment to Join and Expand 

Hampe noted, as published by Review-Journal, that Station has owned the property for quite some time. They regularly review what they are doing, where they are developing, and their future plans,” he said. With the construction of apartments and the expansion of companies in the area, they believed it was a good moment for them to join in and continue making changes to the neighborhood.

In December, Wildfire is anticipated to fill around 45 full-time and part-time jobs at its 2700 Fremont St. facility in east Fremont. The business is constructing the Durango Casino & Resort in the southwest valley, which is anticipated to open in the fall of 2023. Crews continue to work on completing the 15-story, 318-foot skyscraper that was topped off in October and valued at $750 million.

Looking Ahead for its New Milestone 

Over 1,200 full-time permanent roles will be filled following the completion of the property, according to a recent statement released by the developer. In March, a special groundbreaking ceremony for Durango Casino & Resort marked the beginning of construction on the new resort. This location will have a 200-room hotel tower and an 83,000-square-foot casino. There will be over 2,000 slot machines and 46 table games available.
