Month- Long Legal Wrangling

Attempt to Toughen the Prohibition to the State 

While the case was meant to be heard in May, it was moved back to November owing to the reasonable anticipation the General Assembly would attempt to toughen the prohibition via the state budget enacted in June. Given that Sadler’s counsel, Sen. Bill Stanley, is a sitting politician with the ability to postpone court dates while the legislature is in Richmond, the approaching session of the General Assembly might complicate the case.
