Giving a First Look to its Interior

Beginning in December 2021, the $340 million, 250,000-square-foot casino will be built. Rush Street Gaming, based in Chicago, will run the establishment.

Although a Hard Rock temporary casino has been operating in Bristol since July, the entertainment establishment along Victory Drive in Portsmouth will be the Commonwealth’s first permanent Casino. In Norfolk and Danville, there are two other casinos that have been proposed.

A Variety of Facilities and Amenities will be Available to Customers

There will be 1,448 slot machines at the forthcoming Casino, 1,100 of which have already been delivered. The remaining 300 still need to be put, although about 300 are already in the proper locations. 348 more will be supplied before the start of the season. A poker room with 24 tables, a place for players to cash out their winnings, and a host check-in area will also be included in the facility’s amenities. Separate from the main floor is the poker room.

A 753-square-foot viewing wall in the sportsbook area will include a screen that is 12 feet high and 62 feet wide, allowing it to display dozens of televised sports. A Topgolf suite with three bays, each accommodating up to eight guests, will be located above the sportsbook. For players looking for a high roller experience, there will be 85 slot machines, 11 tables, two private salons, and a private table area in the high-limit game room.

Amenities would be Available for Conventions and Special Events

The building will also have a 120-seat Sound Bar with live performances on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. There are tables with chairs close to the stage as well as a spherical bar with 88 seats.

The Casino will also have three eateries that are open to everyone, including those under the age of 21, and that can be accessed from outside the main floor. As a final amenity, the Casino will have a 25,000-square-foot event area that can be rented for conventions and shows.

More than 1,100 full-time employees have already been employed by the Casino after holding five job fairs, but hiring continues. The Casino will have one more event before opening day on Thursday at the Holiday Inn Virginia Beach on Greenwich Road, according to the most recent notice. At 10:00 a.m. it begins. and concludes at 6 o’clock.
