Delaware North announced the completion of the $320 million expansion of its Southland Casino Hotel in West Memphis, wrapping up one of the biggest casino expansion projects in Arkansas.

The upgrades cost $320 million as the firm endeavors to transform the venue into a genuine Las Vegas-style gambling destination.

The Expansion Is Finished

The magnificent enlargement required three years to build. What was originally a racetrack with a few slot machines has evolved into a full-fledged casino resort with a luxury hotel and a vast array of gambling alternatives.

Casino Establishment Transformation Features

The site currently features a 20-story, 300-room hotel and a massive 113,000-square-foot casino. This establishment provides customers with 2,400 slot machines, 50 gaming tables, and a sportsbook. 

In addition, guests can choose from a variety of culinary options. Finally, the Southland Casino Hotel built a new covered parking garage with about 1,400 places. Consequently, casino patrons are no longer required to bother about parking.

Now that remodeling is complete, the operator will begin promoting the renovated facility to local clients. Southland Casino Hotel intends to establish itself as an alluring location and to draw further visitors from Little Rock, Memphis, Nashville, Northern Alabama, and St. Louis.

Southland Casino Hotel Appoints a New President and Announces a Competition

Osi Imomoh will now serve as the general manager and president of the refurbished Southland Casino Hotel. He is already acquainted with the property’s staff, having previously served as the venue’s food and beverage director. 

Imomoh has worked for Delaware North, the corporation that owns Southland Casino Hotel, for the past fifteen years and has held several managerial roles inside the company. Prior to that, Imomoh spent seven years working for Isle of Capri Casinos, where he supervised food and beverage enterprises.

Launch of New Year, New Ride Contest 

To commemorate the completion of the expansion, Delaware North teamed with Pepsi, a multinational food, snack, and beverage company. Due to this, a unique “New Year, New Ride” contest will be held. One winner will receive a brand-new Ford F-150 and will be eligible for a portion of the $250,000 prize pool.
