During the meeting of the MGC on Thursday, Wells gave some news that those individuals who have been waiting to participate in the expansion of gambling in Massachusetts have been waiting for.
Wells made it very clear that the proposed commencement date and hour are merely suggestions. She indicated that the quality of the internal controls assessment to ensure compliance with rules in the state would determine whether or not that launch would be carried out.
In addition, it will depend on how well applicants for licenses can respond to the requirements set forth by regulators.
Further, Wells reiterated the Commission’s intention to award provisional licenses to internet business owners who meet the requirements on February 23. After that, on March 8 or 9, the Commission would be able to issue certificates for operations.

Before apps could be made available to users, the last regulatory step would be for them to be certified. However, as of right now, none of the possible online sportsbooks have divulged the fact that ten in the morning on March 10 is a decent time for them.
