Tipico prepares to go live in Ohio

The deal includes adding the Tipico Centerfield Party Deck to Day Air Ballpark, sponsoring the fireworks series, and making a deal that is good for fans.

Tipico grew its influence in Ohio by making a deal with the Cincinnati Reds’ high-A Minor League Baseball (MiLB) team, the Dayton Dragons.

This season, as part of the new agreement with the Dayton Dragons, Tipico will become the exclusive fireworks series sponsor of the Minor League Baseball team and a portion of Day Air Stadium will be named after the New Jersey-based sports betting company.

Baseball has long been America’s favorite pastime, and this is especially true in Dayton, the proud home of the Dragons, said David Paschkes, chief commercial officer of Tipico North America, “delighted to partner with one of the most successful teams in minor league baseball” and its “truly devoted fan base with the longest sellout streak” in the history of the league.

Also, 1,000 new Ohio Tipico members will get a welcome package with two game tickets and a $20 e-gift card for the team store. After making their initial deposit with the sportsbook, customers will be able to claim their tickets and e-card.

“The opening of the Tipico Centerfield Party Deck, the fireworks series sponsorship, and the chance for our fans to get tickets are all very exciting promotions that we are thrilled to offer in partnership with a brand that is just as committed to Ohio sports fans as we are,” said Robert Murphy, the president and general manager of the Dayton Dragons. He pointed to the team’s sellout streak as proof that everyone at the club is “truly dedicated to creating a great fan experience.”

Tipico US expansion

Tipico, which has its U.S. headquarters in Hoboken, New Jersey, offers online and mobile gambling on sporting events, as well as online casino gaming, with a focus on engaging play, exhilarating experiences, and player protection. Tipico is the odds provider for the entire USA Today Network as the exclusive sports betting and iGaming provider for Gannett, a subscription-driven and digitally-focused media and marketing solutions firm.

The relationship with the Dayton Dragons is Tipico’s most recent sports-related agreement in Ohio, as the European operator seeks to engage sports fans and increase its footprint in the state.

In February, Tipico became the exclusive sports betting partner of the 2023 Arnold Sports Festival, which will be held at the Great Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. Days ago, the company announced a March Madness fan contest.
