September 2020 Post Views: 157 Online gambling technology and content provider Playtech recently signed a new deal with BetMGM which provides it access to the New Jersey market. This deal will help Playtech expand its US footprint further and created a significant presence in the massive iGaming market of the Garden State. A solid new beginning BetMGM is owned and operated by Roar Digital and is an online sports betting and casino gaming brand. Its parent company is a joint venture between European gambling giant GVC Holdings and US casino behemoth MGM Resorts International. The two-year old venture aimed to capitalize on the Supreme Court’s strike down of PASPA, which allowed all US states to create their own sports betting legislation. Playtech’s new deal with BetMGM will see it gaining access to the online casino content and other software. The games will be available on BetMGM Casino as well as two other brands run by Roar- Borgata Online and PartyCasino NJ. Playtech’s existing NJ operations Playtech is not new to the New Jersey market. The company arrived in the state in August when Bet265 went live with its operations. At the time, the gambling provider said that it would be the first in the many milestones it plans to achieve in the coming months under its US expansion plans. Playtech CCO Shimon Akad noted that the most recent rollout in the state is an exciting first step in their partnership which will see it launch in more states with BetMGM. He also said that the strategic deal suggests the strength of Playtech’s US potential and its appealing gaming offering in the region. Playtech already holds a regulatory approval from the Division of Gaming Enforcement last May. BetMGM VP of Gaming Matthew Sunderland said that Playtech will help them enjoy casino games from one of the leading suppliers of gambling software. He added that this partnership will help in building p the current leadership status of BetMGM in the New Jersey gaming industry.
