Gaming Realms has inked a multi-year licensing contract with Swedish premium supplier NetEnt, both companies confirmed in a press release. The deal will bring forth the creation of a new real money online casino game Slingo Starburst set for release next year.

Gaming Realms has finally acquired the licensing rights of NetEnt’s most popular slot of all time – Starburst.

The British iGaming publisher is currently at the early phase in the development of a game, which will feature the Slingo grid mechanic and all the good stuff from the classic Starburst slot. The new slot will bear the title: Slingo Starburst.

Mark Seagal, Chief Operating Officer of Gaming Realms, said that his company is thrilled in forging collaboration with NetEnt. He promised that the upcoming game will highlight the best features of Slingo and Starburst brand, giving their customers an epic gaming experience.

NetEnt also expressed their enthusiasm in their deal with Gaming Realms.

Andi Whitworth, the Chief Commercial Officer at NetEnt, feels confident the partnership with Gaming Realms will only help expand its market, especially in the US. He also believed the development of the new project will turn out well.

“Gaming Realms has an extraordinary reach among Slingo fans, especially in the US. We are certain that great games will come out from combining Gaming Realms expertise, the Slingo grid mechanic and our renowned IP,” Whitworth said in the press release.

Slingo Starburst is set for worldwide release in 2021 and will be distributed to the online real money online casino gaming market.

More Slingo Titles Coming Soon

Gaming Realms is in a position to release a number of Slingo titles in the coming months after striking licensing deals with several established studios and developers.

Aside from the highly-anticipated Slingo Starburst, Gaming Realms will release Slingo Fluffy Favourites on October 28. The game will combine the Slingo Grid Mechanics and the features of Eyecon’s Fluffy Favourites slot game.

Slingo, which combines the elements of bingo and slot, has come a long way since Dave Lyons and Sal Falcigla create the game in 1994. The two New Jersey-based real estate developers founded Slingo Inc, which released a number of games based on Slingo themes.

In 2013, RealNetworks bought Slingo Inc. for $15.6 million and sold it to UK-based Gaming Realms in 2015.

Slingo has an enormous following in the United Kingdom gaming industry. Players and reviewers praise the game for its playability and originality.

Slingo’s popularity will only skyrocket once Gaming Realms releases their new games, Slingo Fluffy Favourite and Slingo Starburst, to the market.
