William Hill’s online casino debut in New Jersey

William Hill US will make its online casino debut in New Jersey. Evolution Gaming will be streaming live casino games for William Hill from its Atlantic City studio.

New Jersey is one of the gambling hotbeds in the United States.

Evolution Gaming will also make live casino gaming content for William Hill available to other states in the coming months.

Johan Nordstrom, chief executive officer Malta and chief commercial officer at Evolution, believed their past success working with William Hill’s would only bode well for their latest project.

“We are very proud to have been selected by William Hill US. Our Live Casino solutions have been instrumental in helping to make William Hill’s Live Casino a stand-out offering in regulated European markets,” Nordstrom said in the press release.

Caesars’ Growing Empire

William Hill began its operation in the United States in 2012. The company has focused on retail and mobile operations in Nevada, becoming the No.1 sportsbook in the country.

Caesars Entertainment made a gigantic move by agreeing to purchase the UK-based sportsbook for $3.7 billion on September 30.

Pending anti-trust and regulatory approval, the Caesars’ Entertainment is expected to close its purchase of William Hill during the second half of 2021. Details of the deal include merging some of the companies’ iGaming operations, which would only solidify Caesars’ position in the US sportsbook and online casino market.

William Hills has 170 sportsbooks across the United States with more than 100 operating in Nevada. The company has also businesses in Rhode Island, Delaware, New Mexico, Mississippi, Florida, Iowa, West Virginia, Indiana, and New Jersey.

Battle for Live Casino Share

William Hill’s latest foray into the live casino business only means more competition for other sportsbook and gaming outfit.

Draft Kings and BetMGM earlier struck landmark deals to boost their online presence. NetEnt inked an expansion agreement with DraftKings to develop online and casino table games available for Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

BetMGM also closed a deal with AGS, which would provide them with online real-money game content in the U.S. AGS plans to develop real money casino games for BetMGM available initially in New Jersey and later on in other states.

The online casino industry is experiencing a surge in the past few years with so many states legalizing its operations. Live casino, including Online Poker, is legal in Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia, New Jersey, and Nevada. Michigan has already legalized online casinos with a target launch date set in November.
