NetEnt became the first non-proprietary game studio in the newly regulated market after securing approval from the West Virginia Lottery Commission.

This development comes after the company made a successful technical integration with Boston-based DraftKings.

NetEnt aims to further expand its US market following a strong launch in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

The company has now begun offering a selection of innovative games in West Virginia. Some of their popular titles include Blackjack, Gonzo’s Quest, and the popular Starburst.

Brian Kraft, vice president commercial of NetEnt Americas, has expressed his optimism in the direction their partnership with DraftKings is taking.

“We are thrilled to be the first third-party supplier to launch our games in West Virginia.  It’s fantastic to have some of our most popular titles from New Jersey and Pennsylvania now live in the West Virginia market for DraftKings’ players to enjoy,” Kraft said in the press conference.

NetEnt aims to continuously increase its footprint in the US Market with its partnership with DraftKings, which focuses on daily fantasy sports contest business.

Growing online casino business

NetEnt has overcome the negative economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic by capitalizing on the growing online casino market.

Aside from expanding their deal with DraftKings, the supplier also made an agreement with Scientific Games and Cordish Companies.

They struck a deal with Scientific Games, making some of their games available on the latter’s OpenGaming platform. It has already begun offering NetEnt’s games in a regulated market in New Jersey with future launches in Michigan and Pennsylvania.

NetEnt’s link-up with Cordish Companies further bolstered their exposure with PlayLive! now offering a selection of their games.

NetEnt’s selection of games has racked up strong numbers in Pennsylvania ever since the online casino content supplier went live in 2019. However, the integration with Cordish Companies’ PlayLive! would help solidify NetEnt’s position in Pennsylvania’s online casino market.

NetEnt will supply slots and tables game to PlayLive!, which has drawn a tremendous following in Pennsylvania since its August launching.

Cordish Companies launched its branded online platform before they opened new land-based casinos in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.

“PlayLive! will be a major contender in Pennsylvania’s online market and we’re proud to be supporting The Cordish Companies with this new venture,” Kraft says in the press release.
