Roar Digital’s sportsbook brand BetMGM signed a new multi-year partnership with MLB franchise Washington Nationals. Roar Digital is a joint venture by US gaming giant- MGM Resorts International and Entain, formerly known as PLC.

Better relationship with MGM

MGM Resorts is the official gaming partner of MLB and its joint venture’s partnership with the tournament’s franchise makes more inroads for the brands. The new partnership has made BetMGM the official sports betting partner of the Washington Nationals. The partnership deal was made with Lerner Sports Group (LSG), which owns the National.

The exclusive multi-year deal will witness the launch of a new BetMGM Sportsbook at the Nationals Park in Washington DC, which is the team’s home turf. The place servings Center Field Social will be dedicated to the sportsbook. A mobile app will launch here and provide co-branding opportunities. Fans can expect a highly engaging sporting experience. Fans will not be able to use the sportsbook during a Nationals game. However, wagers will be allowed via the BetMGM app.

Nationals happy with the deal

Alan Gottlieb, the COO of Lerner Sports Group, expressed his contentment with the deal and said that the Nationals are “thrilled” to expand its existing partnership with MGM Resorts. He added,

“The BetMGM mobile app will enable our fans to engage with the game in new and exciting ways, while the BetMGM Sportsbook connected to Nationals Park will provide Nationals fans and the D.C. community with a first-class gathering place to celebrate their passion for sports together.”

BetMGM will add a luxury viewing and sports betting experience to the MGM National Harbor Dugout Club located on the field next to the dugout. It will act as an eight-seat premier luxury sports box. The Navy Yard neighborhood baseball park will also feature BetMGM branding. Members of BetMGM’s loyalty program Red Carpet Rewards and the MGM Resorts’ M Life Rewards will also get exclusive benefits from the sportsbooks and the MLB team.
