Clarion Gaming Postpones ICE London and iGB Affiliate 2021

Clarion Gaming announced this week that ICE London and iGB Affiliate conferences for the year have been postponed. The events were expected to be much smaller this year because of the pandemic. They were originally scheduled for June 29 to July 1 at the ExCel exhibition center.

Concerns related to COVID-19

This is the second straight year that the conference has been postponed. This time, industry stakeholders remain concerned about the spread of the infection. Clarion Gaming released a statement in which it said that the events will now be scheduled for 2022. It received several requests from its customer base requesting the same.

Both events will be held in the ExCel exhibition center in London. ICE London will be held between February 1 and 3, 2022. iGB Affiliate will be held between February 3 and 5, 2022. The key partners of the event have shown support for this move, citing the safety and wellbeing of the participants and organizers. The gaming industry has gone through unprecedented times in the past year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. A new variant of the virus has been discovered which is further increasing the worries of the stakeholders.

Other events will continue

Clarion Gaming will continue with the iGB Live event at RAI Amsterdam as per the existing schedule. The event will be held between September 28 and October 1. The firm’s managing director Stuart Hunter said that it is committed to helping all sectors in the gaming industry bounce back from the damages they suffered in 2020. He also said that the company aims to help all its loyal stakeholders regardless of where they are based in any way they can.

Last year, the firm postponed ICE London and iGB Affiliate London. The events were scheduled for October but could not happen because of concerns related to the pandemic. The firm announced the June-July 2021 dates at the time, hoping that the effects of the virus will subside by then. However, the UK is still grappling with the consequence of the pandemic and the discovery of a new strain has only made things worse.
