PNG’s the Hollywood Casino York to open doors on August 12

Penn National Gaming will be opening its third facility in Pennsylvania. The Hollywood Casino York will start welcoming players on August 12, awaiting final customary regulatory approvals.

PNG’s latest real-money casino in Keystone State

The New Casino: As mentioned, the Hollywood Casino York will become PNG’s third facility in Pennsylvania. Situated in York Galleria Mall in Springettsbury Township, the category four casino received the final approval in December 2019. The gaming giant previously launched Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course in Grantville and The Meadows Racetrack & Casino in Washington. Hollywood Casino Morgantown, the group’s fourth real money casino in the state, will open possibly at the final quarter of the year.

Attractions & Amenities: PNG has made sure every space of its 80,000 square foot facility is devoted to gaming and amusement. Hollywood Casino York aims to captivate casino-goers with more than 500 slot machines and 24 table games. The management can bring in additional attraction to the lobby since it can accommodate up to 750 slot machines and 40 table games. The casino also allotted a portion for a Barstool sportsbook and racebook for sports betting enthusiasts. Moreover, it will also have a casual restaurant that serves dinner and drinks and a grab-and-go eatery where players can step back from the action and get a quick snack.

Promotions: The company has scheduled two invitation-only test days, which are basically dry-runs to try the amenities and determine the casino’s operational status before opening day. The proceeds of the events will go to charitable institutions in the area, including York County Veterans Outreach, York County Food Bank, Mr. Sandy’s Veterans Helping Hand, and local VFWs and American Legion posts.
