International Game Technology (IGT) has announced an agreement with Oneida Nation in order to power the sportsbook at Oneida Casino, located at Green Bay in the state of Wisconsin. The agreement will enable IGT to launch its Playsport retail and sports betting platform in yet another jurisdiction in the United States. The deal has received the approval of the Department of the Interior (DoI). This makes Oneida the first tribe in the state of Wisconsin to be approved to offer sports betting at its properties, located at Oneida Nation Reservation in Green Bay.

Comments on the deal

Enrico Drago, SVP at IGT PlayDigital commented that Oneida is the first tribe in Wisconsin to renegotiate the compact and this will help them establish a position for themselves in the state along with reaping long-term benefits through access to IGT’s playsports solution that is in itself world-class. He further stated that IGT is committed to supporting the sports betting vision of Oneida, producing technology of the highest quality and services to launch and successfully sustain the sports betting operations.

Louise Cornelius, Gaming General Manager at Oneida Casino commented that Oneida looks forward to introducing the sporting platform of IGT. He further commented that Oneida will now become the first casino in the state of Wisconsin to operate a sportsbook and implementation of IGT’s PlaySports platform along with its trading advisory services will improve Oneida Casino’s reputation as a gaming destination.

Other IGT Deals

For IGT, the deal with Oneida comes on the heels of its deal with the Coushatta Tribe of Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder, Los Angeles in July 2021, the largest casino in the state of California. IGT signed an agreement in the state of North Dakota with the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate Tribe that operates Dakota Magic Casino and Hotel in Hankinson.

IGT also teamed up with Resorts World Las Vegas, a newly opened resort casino resort in Las Vegas to power the sportsbook as well as the mobile betting app that is operated state-wide by Resorts World Las Vegas.

IGT has an agreement with Snoqualmie Casino, to offer sports betting located in Snoqualmie in the state of Washington for land-based gaming facilities that are close to Seattle.

IGT also has a multi-year contract with FanDuel that is owned by Flutter Entertainment to power FanDuel sportsbooks until September 2024.
