Abduraman Iseni pleads guilty to criminal misconduct

The boss of the gang, Diamond Enterprise Abduraman Iseni has admitted to eight counts of criminal conduct. The charges include interstate threats, bank fraud conspiracy, money laundering, false statements to a bank, overseeing a multi-year racketeering enterprise, two gambling conspiracy offenses.

Prosecutors have stated that the gang was founded through revenues that were generated through the gambling network. Friendly Café, Oasis Café as well as Sports Café are part of the gambling network of the gang. These venues were host to a variety of underground poker games as well as illegal sportsbooks. The profits from these operations were laundered through a complex network of bank accounts that were established to conceal its operations.

The prosecution states that the operations were overseen by Isani; however, he was not involved in the day-to-day operations of the gambling network. His role was to offer protection, substantial influence, and connections that he had in the criminal underworld. In return for the same, he took in a substantial share of the earnings and profit.

The hard work of the FBI has borne fruit. Abduraman Isani has now been convicted of a number of offenses. He now awaits sentencing with respect to the charges framed following the guilty plea. This was stated in a statement released by US Attorney, Damian Williams.
