Betway bolsters presence in sports world via Mavs tie-up

Betway, a global market-leading online sports betting and gaming operator, has recently struck a partnership with Dallas Mavericks of the NBA.

Betway now Mavs’ Free-to-Play Partner

The Deal

Under the terms of the agreement, the Mavericks agreed to make Betway its Official and Exclusive Free-to-Play Partner. 

The Mavs become the sixth NBA team to enter into such a deal with the gaming group. The operator previously bagged similar agreements with Golden State Warriors, LA Clippers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Chicago Bulls, and the Brooklyn Nets.

The Marketing

Betway expects its association with the Mavericks to bring broader exposure to the brand and iGaming products. 

Apart from the title as the Free-to-Play partner of the team, it also secured the Mavs’ million-dollar branding rights and promotions of its logo and assets across the team’s home arena, American Airlines Center.

Anthony Werkman, the CEO of Betway, praised the Mavericks for building a loyal fanbase that has helped the franchise perform well in ticket sales consistently for the longest time. 

He also outlined the immense value the Mavs could potentially bring to the company because of the brand’s global reach.

Dallas has represented the international scene over the last two decades, featuring players from different countries and cultures. It started with former franchise player and German national Dirk Nowitzki, who led the team to two NBA finals appearances and one championship. At the twilight of Nowitzki career, the Mavs found a worthy successor in Slovenian star Luka Doncic, who also commands a massive global fanbase.  

Betway has been making strategic moves to bolster its popularity in the sporting world. Outside basketball, the group will sponsor the Stockholm Open, a tennis tournament on the ATP Tour this November, and several Esports competitions.      

Betway is the official betting partner of the National Hockey League. It also maintains ties with football clubs Athletic De Madrid and Eintracht Frankfurt FC; Esports teams FURIA and PSG.LGD, and South African Rugby, and the Springboks.
