Seneca Gaming Corporation has reinstated strict COVID-19 protocols at all of its gaming locations in response to “concerning” recent patterns in western New York. 

Seneca Gaming reimposes stricter protocol 

The real-money casino operator states that the improved safety and security measures will apply to all guests and staff members, a move it describes as “the necessary step to ensure that our locations continue to be safe, entertaining environments for all.”

Seneca Gaming Corporation manages three casinos in New York on behalf of the Seneca Nation of Indians: the Niagara Resort and Casino near Niagara Falls, the Buffalo Creek Casino in downtown Buffalo, and the Allegany Resort and Casino in Salamanca. 

Patrons can enjoy 5,400 slot machines, 140 table games, over 1,000 hotel rooms and suites, spas and salons, dining, and retail stores located throughout these facilities, as well as the Seneca Hickory Stick Golf Course.

Surging Business

According to the New York Times, Niagara, Erie, and Cattaraugus counties, which contain the aforementioned facilities, have had 14-day spikes of 78 percent, 62%, and 72 percent in coronavirus cases per 100,000 persons, respectively. 

As a result of the re-established protocols, all guests and team members will be required to wear masks or facial coverings, and social distancing will be reinstated, requiring a minimum distance of six feet.

“While we have adhered to COVID-related standards strictly at our three sites, recent trends in Western New York are alarming. Requiring the wearing of face masks is the necessary course of action to ensure that our properties remain safe and pleasurable for everyone.”
