Digital Gaming Corporation Makes Michigan Debut with BetMGM

Digital Gaming Corporation (DGC) announced its entry into Michigan following the launch of its complete suite of premium and diverse slot titles with BetMGM, the leading online casino operator in the United States.

BetMGM gamers in Michigan can now enjoy the thrills and excitement of games like Adventures of Doubloon Island, Queen of Alexandria, and Diamond Inferno. This launch in Michigan is a critical component of DGC’s multistate relationship with BetMGM—a cooperation that has already resulted in rollouts across BetMGM’s platforms in New Jersey in 2020 and Pennsylvania in August 2021.

This enables the operator’s gamers to profit from the addition of the DGC igaming suite, which features titles such as Adventures of Doubloon Island, Queen of Alexandria, and Diamond Inferno. Through October, Michigan’s online casino and poker rooms set new records, while the region’s online and retail sportsbooks fell short of being the fifth state to surpass $500 million in wagers in a single month.

The former achieved $109.7 million in gross gaming revenue, up 7.1% from $102.4 million a month earlier, and marking the third consecutive month of record-breaking revenue.

October’s revenue generated $20.3 million in state and $7.8 million in municipal taxes. Since January, internet gambling has injected $220.8 million in state and local taxes, about 20 times the amount earned by online and retail sports betting. Additionally, this month’s highlights include the fact that digital gaming has generated $884.6 million in gross gaming revenue since its January start, with BetMGM/MGM Grand Detroit leading all online casino and poker operators with $41.4 million.

Quotes from the Press Release

“DGC remains steadfast in its commitment to producing games that surpass player expectations across the regulated United States,” stated Neill Whyte, Chief Commercial Officer — B2B iGaming, DGC. We’re thrilled that our games are now available to gamers in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and, most recently, Michigan, thanks to our relationship with BetMGM.”

“BetMGM has been the top operator in Michigan since the industry began in January, in part owing to our focus on establishing the strongest gaming catalog,” noted Matt Sunderland, BetMGM’s VP of Gaming. We’re pleased to provide BetMGM players in Michigan with access to DGC’s entire portfolio of high-quality titles.”
