After passing an international Organization for Standardization audit, the online casino Rootz has been awarded an ISO 27001 certification. 

The ISO is described as a “significant milestone” in its journey toward securing a full igaming license that would allow Rootz to offer its services to German players.

ISO 27001, in particular, establishes guidelines for an information security management system through the use of a risk-based approach to information security. It is a prerequisite for all potential online gambling operators to access the German market.

It follows months of alleged toil behind the scenes at Rootz HQ, where employees allegedly “worked long hours to achieve all regulatory requirements within an unusually condensed time limit.” Additional audit requests are expected to be filed in the coming months to expand into different white-listed igaming markets as the company strives to consolidate its position as a global player.
