Koi Nation partners with the Chickasaw Nation on the Shiloh Casino project

The Koi Nation in northern California has entered into a predevelopment agreement with Global Gaming Solutions, an Oklahoma-based wholly-owned subsidiary of the Chickasaw Nation, for the Shiloh Casino and Resort project.

Koi Nation – Chickasaw Nation Partnership

The tribe, which first announced plans for the 68-acre site in September, will work with GGS as a development partner for the Sonoma County-based project. Additionally, after the deal is concluded, GGS will serve as the manager and operator of the facility.

The Chickasaw Nation, headquartered in Ada, Oklahoma, owns and runs 23 real-money casino locations throughout the country, including Winstar World Casino and Resort. Shiloh Casino & Resort will feature 2,500 class III gaming machines, a 200-room hotel, six restaurants and foodservice locations, a meeting center, a spa, and a live entertainment arena. When fully operating, the property will employ more than 1,100 full-time employees.

“We are thrilled to establish this critical business connection with our Chickasaw Nation brothers and sisters, one of the most seasoned Native American tribes in the gaming industry,” stated Darin Beltran, tribal chair of the Koi Nation. The Chickasaw Nation is happy to be a part of this initiative, and we look forward to a fruitful relationship,” Chickasaw Nation Governor Bill Anoatubby stated.

“Our citizens’ prosperity and a commitment to collaboration with our Koi Nation partners, as well as with local, state, and municipal governments, are critical components of our purpose. We look forward to the creation of new jobs, the expansion of existing businesses, and increasing tourism in our region.”

“We are delighted about the opportunity to apply our experience to assist the Koi Nation in realizing this project and achieving the economic self-sufficiency that all Native American tribes have an inherent right to,” said Bill Lance, Chickasaw Nation commerce secretary.

“We look forward to establishing a long-term commercial relationship with the Koi. “Not only does the Chickasaw Nation have extensive knowledge in gaming and resorts, but they also share many of the same principles as the Koi Nation,” stated Dino Beltran, vice chair and head of development for the Koi Nation.

“Chickasaw leaders recognize the critical nature of this initiative in reestablishing our economic independence since they have traveled this journey numerous times in support of their own people’s future.”
