Continent 8 Technologies has constructed a data center in Puerto Rico as part of its strategy to establish a foothold in the rapidly growing Latin American online casino industry.

Continent 8 will now offer its full array of services from Puerto Rico, connecting to over 80 locations across four continents.

The company’s data center and strategic point of presence in Puerto Rico complement the company’s data center and strategic matter of fact in Bogota, Colombia, which also features a public cloud solution.

The company plans to offer services in Peru in the second quarter of the year, substantially increasing its scope. The Puerto Rico Gaming Commission began accepting online sports betting licenses applications in November 2021, with the sector expected to produce upwards of $18 million in its first full year.

The launch of Content 8 Technologies’ data center in Puerto Rico follows the company’s recent designation as an Amazon Web Services Advanced Consulting Partner. The status promotion, which occurred less than a year after the firm received AWS Select clearance, is expected to boost its position as a cloud and connectivity provider to the gambling sector as it moves up a tier of AWS partners.
