The OLG collaborates with BTI in an effort to boost representation

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) had recently joined with the Black Talent Initiative (BTI) to increase Black professional representation in the workplace and invest in their professional development.

OLG – BTI Alignment

BTI is a volunteer-led social impact organization dedicated to providing professional development, mentorship, and community for Black talent pursuing career growth. Through its community of seasoned business professionals, tools, and networks, BTI collaborates with volunteers and partners across North America to foster connections and employment possibilities for Black talent.

The company is thrilled to join BTI in its mission to provide professional development, mentorship, and community to Black talent seeking career advancement, thereby creating career opportunities and inspiring equitable, anti-racist workplaces of today and tomorrow “Tyjondah Kerr, the Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at the OLG, stated. “They value our uniqueness at OLG and recognize that their various thoughts, backgrounds, and orientations contribute to the company’s success. Through our relationship with BTI, they will demonstrate their commitment to fostering an atmosphere conducive to the success of existing and future Black OLG employees.

Through the agreement, OLG will advertise job openings on BTI’s network, thereby building a talent pipeline for the organization — and OLG executives will collaborate with BTI to give opportunities for mentorship and networking with Black professionals. Additionally, OLG and BTI will collaborate to create learning opportunities that benefit both OLG and BTI personnel. Few organizations in their province’s history can equal the contribution that OLG has made to communities. Their emphasis on boosting economic benefits for individuals is precisely aligned with the Black Talent Initiative’s aims. They consider themselves fortunate to be a member of the movement.
