Betfred Sports – We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort Deal

After a preliminary launch in late January, Betfred Sports said Monday that it has launched its sports betting mobile operations in Arizona in partnership with the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort. Bettors can now gamble on any device in the state via the Betfred Sports-branded iOS and Android applications. By late summer, a retail sportsbook is expected. Also, fans of collegiate and professional sports now have access to specialized pages that feature live updates on a range of betting types, including straight bets, in-play wagering, parlays, and teasers. When new customers sign up, they will earn a series of up to $3,000 welcome bonuses.

Corporate Notes

General Manager Mary Ketterling discussed this new milestone in an official press release, stating that three months ago, the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort and Betfred Sports offered sports betting kiosks at our gorgeous desert gaming destination, and more recently, a temporary full-service sportsbook. By adding mobile apps, they can continue to provide Arizonans with an easy, user-friendly, and unmatched sports betting experience.

Bryan Bennet, Chief Operating Officer of Betfred Sports, stated that they couldn’t be more delighted to expand their betting apps into the Arizona market. They look forward to providing customers around the state with unique experiences that they cannot get anywhere else. Their team has worked tirelessly to make this a reality.

Arizona’s Gaming Process

Meanwhile, Arizona is making progress in consolidating the state’s three regulatory agencies – the Arizona Racing Commission, the Arizona State Boxing, and Mixed Martial Arts Commission, and the Arizona Department of Gaming – into a single, new state gaming commission. It was passed by the Arizona House Rules Committee in late February and referred to the Senate Appropriations Committee for consideration.

Arizona’s nine mobile sports betting firms, together with two in-person sportsbooks in downtown Phoenix, brought in approximately $467 million in wagers in November, the third month after legalization. Arizona has become the quickest state to reach $1 billion in total wagers across all legal markets with November’s wagers.
