Poker Gaming 101: POW! SlotsLV Pai Gow Poker Offers Huge Bonanza

However, it’s possible that you haven’t yet tried your hand at this other interesting poker-based game. If you didn’t know it before, you now know it: you’ve arrived at Pai Gow Poker!

An Exciting New Poker Way

In 1985, Sam Torosian, owner of the Bell Card Club in Los Angeles, was smitten by Puy Soy, a Chinese variation of poker. Puy Soy includes three players and three poker hands. The tedious effort of organizing so many cards turned off many of Torosian’s betting clients. Helping him out, his co-creator and buddy Fred Wolf lowered the number of cards from 13 to 7, making the game considerably more manageable. The team then threw in a wild Joker card for good measure. These minor tweaks turned a meh game that many players couldn’t grasp into a WOW game that brought everyone to the table smiling! With SlotsLV bonuses, you can now play Pai Gow Poker from the comfort of your own home. All you need is an account and a little Pai Gow knowledge to get started.

How to Play Pai Gow Poker?

Players both obtain seven cards after placing their bets from $1-$500 using the betting chips. From the seven cards, make two of the best poker hands available. The catch (and the fun part) is that players must divide the seven cards into two poker hands. The “big” or “high” hand has five cards. Your “small” or “low” hand has only two cards. To win the game, any big five-card hand must beat the small two-card hand. You’d be right if you said managing two poker hands against the dealer was risky and wild! Pai Gow Poker is a game that tests your skills and pays you on the spot. Examine their hands and see what you can do with them.

What are the Hands?

Your two-card hand can only contain high cards. Because the tiny hand must rank lower than the big hand, you should always aim for a 2-2 or 3-3 in that hand. Otherwise, 10-J-Q-K-A will do. The five-card hand is based on conventional poker ranks, but with a Joker for extra fun! The Pai Gow Poker Joker is a wild card with restrictions. The Joker can complete a straight or a flush, but it counts as an Ace otherwise. In a two-card hand, the Joker always counts as an Ace. Five Aces is the best five-card hand in Pai Gow due to the additional Joker and its potential to be an Ace. Regardless of the final hand, all winners are paid 1:1, minus a 5% commission.

How are the Hands Dealt?

Both players and the dealer start with seven cards from a 53 card deck (because of the one added Joker). Both your and the dealer’s cards are face up. Your goal is to make two poker hands better than the dealer’s two, with your big five-card hand outranking your tiny two-card hand. On the Slots.lv Pai Gow interface, you can drag the cards to rearrange them. After clicking the two cards that make up the little hand, click “Split” to set them aside. Pai Gow is slower than other poker-based games because you have to think and rearrange your cards. Pai Gow Poker is perfect for individuals who enjoy a good puzzle with a good payoff.

The Showdown

The dealer’s seven cards are shown once you hit “Split”. To win the game, your big hand must defeat the dealer’s big hand, and vice versa. If so, you win 1:1. It’s a push if only one of your hands beats the dealers. If none of your hands beats the dealer’s, you lose your bet. Because the criteria for winning are so specific, you might expect a lot of pushes in Pai Gow Poker. This is perfect for a poker game since you may play numerous rounds on the same bet without affecting your bankroll.

Final Verdict

Pai Gow Poker is the next table game to keep your poker skills busy on your desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Get your Welcome Bonus or an incentive and sort those seven cards! Even money winnings are only a “Split” away.
