The Plaza Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas has stated that four transformation projects would occur in the downtown property in order to create a “unforgettable and must-visit spot” at the heart of the Nevada casino industry.

Plaza announces four Main Street initiatives

The facility announced that the “centerpiece” of the four projects is a transformation of its portecochère beneath the dome into a Carousel Bar that would give an “unparalleled outdoor bar experience.” At the western entrance to the Fremont Street Experience, the 2,500-square-foot facility will have an outdoor cooling system and seating for over 100 visitors in booths, at the bar, and along an outside rail overlooking Main Street.

This will be followed by the first smoke-free and social media-friendly gaming venue in the downtown area, which will include the “latest and most modern slot machines.” The almost 2,500-square-foot gaming facility will include the Brian Christopher Slots section, which debuted last year. On the rooftop deck above the new gaming area, Oscar’s terrace will be constructed, and Pinkbox Doughnuts will be accessible via a giant, three-dimensional doughnut with sprinkles. The Plaza, which initially opened its doors in 1971, will continue operational throughout development, which is anticipated to commence on all four projects by the end of the month.
