FanDuel

Sports Betting-Gaming Giant Desires to Rebrand TVG

Legal Sports Report reveals in a new report that FanDuel may rebrand its leading horse racing channel TVG as FanDuel TV in an effort to expand as a sports media company. According to documents sent to the company’s employees and reviewed by the media outlet, the rebranding will take place in September.

As part of the rebranding, TVG would become FanDuel TV and TVG2 would become FanDuel Racing. In addition, the TVG OTT application would be rebranded as FanDuel+, while the TVG horse betting website and application would remain unchanged.

Fans of Sports Will Enjoy New Content

According to a recent report, FanDuel’s rebranding will “create the first watch-and-wager TV network in the United States.” Kay Adams, the former host of Good Morning Football, is expected to host a “new SportsCenter-style show” on TVG’s flagship 7 AM slot, according to LSR. Adams has not yet confirmed an official partnership with FanDuel.

Due to the complexity of the process, FanDuel has not yet released official information regarding the potential rebranding. The most recent report reveals that TVG may alter its programming and “move away from horse racing.” In addition to a Sports-Center-style program, the rebranded flagship channel may feature NBA programming and a show starring Pat McAfee, a well-known American sports analyst, professional wrestler, and commentator.

Last but not least, the rebranding is anticipated to provide sports fans with new betting opportunities. These sports include Chinese basketball and Korean football, on which sports fans can wager.

This announcement comes shortly after FanDuel revealed two new senior management appointments. Christian Genetski, who previously served as the company’s chief legal officer, has been promoted to president.

FanDuel also named Mike Raffensperger as its chief commercial officer. Raffensperger was formerly the chief marketing officer. The senior management appointments affirm FanDuel’s future expansion plans.

As a result of the change, the two will now report directly to CEO Amy Howe. Howe acknowledged that Raffensperger and Genetski have a track record beyond their time with FanDuel. She predicted that the pair will contribute to FanDuel’s continued expansion.
