The Kansas Lottery has granted Butler National Corporation clearance for a sports betting management contract via a subsidiary that manages Boot Hill Casino & Resort.

Following Boot Hill’s deal with casino and sports betting brand DraftKings, the Dodge City, Kansas casino is all set to accept bets from their clients on sporting events. 

Boot Hill, the Interactive Sports Wagering Platforms Will Offer Sports Betting

The deal between Butler National Corporation and the Kansas Lottery stipulates that in addition to being able to wager on interactive sports betting platforms permitted by the lottery, guests at Boot Hill will also be allowed to wager on-site.

Clark Stewart, the chief executive officer of Butler National Corporation, claimed that the firm has been tirelessly working with its online betting platform partners, and that the Kansas Lottery’s permission gets it “one step closer” to achieving its goal.

In addition, he said that the crew is totally focused on establishing DraftKings’ mobile and retail sportsbook at Boot Hill, and that everyone at Butler National Corporation is eager to deliver the excitement to the clients. Kansas Is On The Verge Of Launching Sports Betting

In May, Kansas Governor Sam Brownback approved a measure legalizing sports betting. However, the sector faced several challenges since the state was immediately sued once the bill was enacted. 

According to the specifics, state casinos may have up to fifty marketing entities/partners. The governor of Kansas noted that discussions with the four tribal casinos are still underway, and it is currently unknown if they will be able to create partnerships.

Recently, the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission expeditiously sent the rules to the Attorney General’s office. Attorney General of Kansas Derek Schmidt must sign the approval.

A representative for the attorney general’s office noted that significant legal concerns are still being considered. Stephen Durrell, the executive director of the Kansas Lottery, expressed confidence that the concerns would be handled expeditiously. 

The measure stipulates that the state would collect a 10 percent tax on the proceeds of sports betting businesses. Even more recently, DraftKings revealed its promos before to the debut, although it is still unknown when these incentives would be accessible to gamers in Kansas.
