Jackpocket Winner Could Not Believe Her Luck

The announcement made by Jackpocket marked the sixth millionaire winner in New York for the third-party lottery ticket-selling app. The nursing student won the $1,000 per week for life prize worth a minimum of $1 million on July 6 after matching the first five numbers drawn with her Quick Picks.

When she played Cash4Life for the first time, she did not realize she had won, nor did she check the automated emails from Jackpocket informing her of her million-dollar prize, so she could not believe her good fortune when she received the phone call.

Explaining how she panicked when she received the call from Jackpocket and checked her ticket on the app, she immediately called her mother to tell her the news. The student’s mother could not believe her daughter’s good fortune and advised her to verify that the prize was not a scam.

Spending Wisely and Investing the Money

She explained while sharing her plans to become a nurse practitioner at a local hospital and then transition to an anesthetist that the funds will be used to pay off her student loans and tuition tax for her final year of nursing school.

The student, one of six New York Jackpocket players to win a seven-figure prize, also plans to use a portion of her winnings to assist her family.

In addition to the six million winners, the innovative ticket-selling app has awarded over 405,000 winners in New York a total of over $65 million in prize money since the app’s launch in 2021, while over $175 million in lottery prizes have been distributed to over 1.1 million winning lottery players using the app nationwide.

Earlier in August, Jackpocket released its financial results for the second quarter of 2022, which indicate a robust uptake of its digital lottery projects in the twelve states where the app is operational.
