After announcing a hefty $65 million expansion for the spring of 2023, BMIC-owned Bay Mills Resort & Casino and Nasdaq-listed digital gaming and sports entertainment business DraftKings unveiled their new permanent retail sports betting store in Brimley, Michigan.

The resort and casino welcomed the inauguration of DraftKings’ sportsbook with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and live game viewing.

Following the official ribbon-cutting, attendees were invited to view a live game.

New Retail Sportsbook in the Wolverine State

The new DraftKings Sportsbook retail location provides sports enthusiasts in the state with additional leisure and entertainment alternatives. LeBlanc added that by introducing their connection with DraftKings to tourists and members of the Northern Michigan community, the region is expected to be positively impacted “for years to come.”

Michael Kibort, senior director of retail sportsbook operations for DraftKings, expressed their excitement at expanding their “incredible partnership with the Bay Mills Indian Community” while creating an amenity that guests will be able to enjoy at one of the top entertainment destinations in the area. DraftKings released its Q3 statistics at the beginning of the month, emphasizing outstanding revenue due to a solid client retention strategy.
